Being a new grad is tough, and it only gets harder at this time of year. With frosh week fast approaching, it’s becoming a reality that I won’t be attending. It sucks, but never fear! On CgC Daily, I share my feelings about why being a grown-up isn’t the worst thing in the world. Click below to check it out!

Aside from the odd day that is disgustingly hot (i.e. today), the chilly weather we’ve had lately has had me itching for fall. I live for fall clothes; layers, scarves, cute coats, boots…drooling. I’ve put together a little shopping list for myself of things that I want to add to my wardrobe for fall. These things are more or less staples any year, yet somehow they’ve evaded my possession. Trends never work out for me- I’m either too late to the party, they don’t suit me, or I just don’t like them. I stick to pretty classic looks with the… View Post

It’s been a while since I’ve word-vomited my feelings. Today’s musings are regarding the big R: REJECTION.     I grew up with the understanding that I could do ANYTHING I set my mind to. For the most part, that has always been true. I’m the oldest sibling in my family; with no brothers and no older siblings in my way, my parents let me do pretty much anything I wanted and encouraged me to succeed. I used to tease him for his countless trips to Homesense etc. for new household trinkets, but now that I’m older I realize that I am my father’s daughter. Having my own place means a blank slate…I’ve been able to decorate however I want, which means sharks EVERYWHERE (I’m watching Shark Week as we speak). Being a grown-up sucks like 80% of the time, but there are a few simple pleasures to be found; few things make me as relaxed and happy as beautiful things around my… View Post

Trattoria Nervosa is conveniently located near Bay and Bloor, and it is an absolute gem. Not only is the building itself gorgeous (it looks like an old house…HISTORY!), but the menu was spot-on and the atmosphere was stellar. I suggest sitting on the upper balcony, which serves as a sort of rooftop patio; it was a nice reminder that despite the recent weather, it is in fact still summer. Both my friend Riley and I had the red Sangria, and I highly recommend it. It definitely has alcohol in it (I did not pay $10 for 99% juice) and I… View Post
