HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hooooly crap it’s 2016. This is so exciting.
I hope you all had an amazing time celebrating the new year. Stef and I spent the weekend at my friend’s boyfriend’s cottage…we grabbed some drinks, some dogs, and lots of good food. By now we all know that this is my dream weekend! It was the best, and even though I’m a weeeeee bit sleepy now, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to ring in the new year. Thanks again, Sara and Sean!
Back to the blog post. (New year’s resolution: stop going off on tangents? lol as if.)
One thing I can say about 2015 is that I discovered a ton of amazing beauty products…it was definitely a year of expanding my bathroom counter! One of my favourite finds of the year is THE best deodorant.
Not my typical blog post about bath bombs or eyeliner, but it needs to be discussed.
Side note: I know it isn’t organic and natural and aluminum-free like the deodorants that everyone says I should be using, but I can never make it through the transition period of BO that comes with switching to au natural deodorant. Maybe some day, but for now I’ll stick with this stuff!
Kiehl’s is the best…we all know this. I’m obsessed with their hand cream and eye cream. Little did I know that their cream deodorant would be my favourite product yet!
Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant Cream. It’s a frigging mouthful. But what it lacks in rolling off the tongue, it makes up for in pretty much everything else.
I have super sensitive skin and find that most deodorants irritate me. I also had been using the same Secret gel deodorant for yeeeears, so it was starting to lose its effectiveness. Essentially, I felt like I was sweaty all the time…so gross and so not necessary.
I did a quick Google search of the best hypoallergenic deodorants, and I came across this guy…I ordered a smaller tube online and immediately fell in love. This deodorant (and anti-perspirant!) is scent-free, which I never thought I’d be into. Me like. It keeps your skin super soft and smooth, and keeps all the yucky effects of being sweaty at bay.
Also, for the first time ever, I don’t need to carry any deodorant in my purse…one application in the morning and I’m good to go all day. For real.
Wait…this thing actually does what it promises to do? WITCHCRAFT.
Coming in at $22 a tube, it sure isn’t cheap. But having underarms that are dry, odourless and not irritated makes me one happy camper. This stuff also lasts forever. You only need to use a small amount, and my mini tube held out for at LEAST 6 weeks.
If you’re like me and struggle with sensitive skin or finding a good DO for the BO, Kiehl’s has got you covered. Now I have no excuse but to fulfill my resolution of sweating multiple times a week…ugh.
