PTX

Instead of a Finally Friday post this week, I really just needed to word vomit about the Pentatonix concert I went to last night…I managed to keep my emotions in check, but like…I was internally losing my shit.

My mom got me meet & greet tickets for Christmas, and that moment alone was enough to send me into a fangirl spiral. Imagine how I felt when it ACTUALLY HAPPENED. I’ve been obsessed with PTX since they were on Sing-Off, and I am loving that people are finally figuring out who they are. Case in point: 2015 Grammy winners. Helllll to the yes.

Anyways, I don’t even know what to say. We got to watch soundcheck, have a Q&A, take a pic (in which Scott and I could legit be related. Seriously.), get autographs, and buy merch before anyone else. Poor, poor Stefan wins the award for boyfriend of the year…his ability to handle my fangirling makes him a keeper. K but real talk for a minute. I was kicking myself for not hugging them when I got autographs, and not saying what I wanted to say. Then, SAVIOUR OF THE CENTURY Elanna Pecherle (btw she’s a beauty blogger and kills it, check her out) appeared last minute and got to go through the meet & greet line. I wiggled my way into going through the line again, and you can bet I forced my hugs on each and every one of them. #noshame.

I’ve only ever been to one other concert at Sound Academy, and tbh I hated it. Stef and I agreed they should have played Massey Hall or some other seated venue. The sound quality was NOT up to the standards needed for a cappella music, and it was a zoo. A literal zoo. There were tweens SITTING DOWN on the floor in the crowd. Do they have any idea what is on that floor? I swear someone peed during the soundcheck…so many mysterious liquids.

Highlights include a Beyoncé mash-up, FourFive Seconds, Avi’s sexy ass bass, Kevin SINGING fo reals instead of beatboxing, an unplugged version of That’s Christmas To Me, and any/all of Mitch’s dance moves. I will be youtubing vids to re-live it for the next week.  Or year. Who’s counting.

All in all, my obsession with PTX lives on. Scomiche are QUEENS, Kevin and Avi simultaneously stole my heart, and Kirstie Maldonado is a goddess…her hair is all that I want and need in life. I left walking on cloud 9 and I am 99% sure that if I were from Texas, we all would have been best friends. It could happen…
