August Birchbox

Another AMAZING Birchbox! I swear I don’t think I’ll ever be disappointed by this subscription. I waited until I had tried most of the products before I did a review, so read on to see what I thought of this month’s samples!

amika Un.Done Texture Spray
Holy awesome smell, Batman! Before I could even form an opinion about this spray’s functionality, I was sold on the lack of chemical scent. I use this in place of my pomade (which I still love!) and it adds an incredible amount of texture to my hair. Combined with some dry shampoo at my roots, this stuff is a new staple in my hair routine.

LAQA & Co. Cheeky Lip in “Cray-Cray”
I loved my last LAQA & Co. crayon, so I was so excited to see this baby. I’m yet to try it on my cheeks, but I love the colour on my lips. I will admit it is a tad patchy and isn’t as opaque as I’d like, but the colour is gorgeous. I suppose it’s meant to be more of a “tint” rather than a deep lip colour, and I’m cool with that.

Balance Me Congested Skin Serum
My skin has been losing its shit on me, and I’m trying anything and everything I can to tame it. This has been so helpful! I love the cool aloe scent, and while I’m not 100% sure if it’s making a change to my skin, it definitely isn’t hurting my complexion. We’ll chalk this one up as a win.

Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy
Hand cream is my crack. Seriously. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but despite the 3 litres of water I drink every day, my hands are constantly dry. I love Crabtree & Evelyn, so this sample was a surefire way to please me.

St. Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan
This is the one sample that I’m yet to try, and I am SO STOKED. I was most excited to see this product in the box…I’ve never tried St. Tropez (despite rave reviews all over the interwebs) and I think this will be a gateway to an amazing brand. I’m planning on doing a post on my favourite self-tanner at the end of this month, so maybe this lil guy will make an appearance!
